Gia Lai discovered two suspected cases of nCoV infection


The couple in Gia Lai had the first positive result for nCoV, after close contact with "patient 1612" in Hai Duong.

"We are tracing and zoning the people and areas involved in these two suspected cases," said Dinh Ha Nam, deputy director of the Gia Lai Department of Health, on the morning of January 30.

On January 17, the couple in Cheo Reo ward, Ayun Pa town (Gia Lai) arrived in Hai Duong province and shared a car to take the bride with "patient 1612" to Ba Vi district (Hanoi) and returned with the car.

Three days later the couple took a bus from Hai Duong to Gia Lai. There were a total of 16 people on the bus, mainly going to Dak Lak, with 5 people going to Gia Lai.

On the morning of January 21, the couple got off the bus at Chu Se junction, took a car to run the Krong Pa route to go to Ayun Pa town. After that, the wife went to work normally at the Medical Center of La Pa district, the husband attended the wedding in Ia Ma Ron commune, Ia Pa district.

Their family has 6 people, including parents-in-law, 2 children attending Le Van Tam Primary and Secondary School, Ayun Pa town.

Currently, they have no symptoms of cough, fever, or sore throat and are in quarantine at Ayun Pa Town Medical Center.

Authorities isolated the Medical Center of Ia Pa district from 0:30 on 30/1. Leaving Le Van Tam Primary and Secondary School (Ayun Pa town) absent from school and extracurricular activities on January 30 and 31. The Department of Health directs health facilities in the region to channel medical examination and treatment support to the people of Ia Pa district.

This morning, the Ministry of Health recorded 34 positive cases of nCoV, community infection in two outbreaks Hai Duong and Quang Ninh. This is the fastest-spreading outbreak since Covid-19's arrival, most likely related to the nCoV variant from the UK. However, it has not been determined that new infections carry the nCoV variant.

The total number of infections increased to 1,739, the number from 1,448, the number of deaths from Covid-19 was 35, and four people died after three to four negative tests. The rest of the patients were in stable health, of which 5 tested negative for nCoV once, 3 were negative for the second time and 8 were negative for the third time.
